Wound Care

Foot wounds and ulcers can lead to very severe, and often life-threatening, problems. Dr. Pierson has been highly trained on up-to-date wound care techniques and a large portion of his training was dedicated to limb preservation. We are dedicated to providing specialized wound care treatments that are customized to your needs.

Wounds can occur for many reasons and often affect at-risk patients. If you are a diabetic, have circulation problems, or suffer from other systemic conditions, you may be higher risk for slow-healing wounds. These wounds may require advanced treatment methods in order to heal completely.

We utilize a variety of treatment modalities in our clinic including:

  • Wound debridement and local care

  • Skin grafts and skin substitutes

  • Specialized wound care dressings

  • Custom offloading and padding techniques

  • Surgical treatment of deformities causing wounds

Toe Ulcer

The sooner you treat a wound or foot ulcer, the more likely you are to heal. If you have a wound or ulcer, we will work to get you in same day, if possible.
