Neuropathy

Peripheral neuropathy and other disorders of the nerves in the feet can be very painful and difficult to manage. Neuropathy can present itself in many different forms. Some patients may feel burning or numbness, while others may experience shooting pains or complete lack of sensation. It can affect your ability to perceive temperature, pain, vibration, touch, or position. If left untreated, you may be unable to correctly identify other problems with your feet as a result of neuropathy.

There are many potential causes of neuropathy in the feet such as:

  • Diabetes

  • Infections

  • Autoimmune Diseases

  • Inherited disorders such as Charcot-Marie Tooth disease.

  • Tumors

  • Alcoholism

  • Certain medications

  • Exposure to poisons

  • Trauma

  • Vitamin deficiencies

We can help diagnose and build an appropriate treatment plan that will help manage painful neuropathy or inflamed neuromas.
